Chase of the Wild Goose by Mary Gordon was gloriously launched at Plas Newydd, home of the Ladies of Llangollen, on June 3rd. A lively crowd of modern ladies and a couple of slightly baffled gentlemen enjoyed the sunshine and the discussions in the gardens. The book, originally published by Leonard and Virginia Woolf at the Hogarth Press in 1936, is a love letter to the Ladies, written with great wit and charm. Bernie, the canine guardian of Lurid Editions, was also in attendance. The Ladies loved their dogs, and we do too.
